EpiCor is ringing in the New Year with an exciting change to our More Healthy Days blog! Meet our newest expert blogger, Lisa Metzgar, Ph.D.
Lisa has been in the alternative health field since 1996 and is currently a nutrition and weight loss coach. As a practicing health consultant with a Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition, Lisa’s blog posts will bring both practical and innovative solutions to help keep you and your family healthy, with a special focus on the importance of maintaining a strong immune system.
Lisa was introduced to EpiCor when approached to share her expertise about immune health in a television news interview in 2013. Scientifically supported supplementation is in line with Lisa’s whole body approach to health and wellness, and she is excited to share her expertise with the More Healthy Days Blog readership.
Lisa is not just a holistic health expert; she’s also an author, wife and a mother of a beautiful 12-year-old daughter. Lisa firmly believes in the “healer, heal thyself” model – her belief in the importance to embody the things she teaches for herself first in order to better model them for her family and her clients. Therefore, it is important to Lisa to be a positive example of what she teaches. She helps people take simple steps that build a foundation for a lifetime of success. Her programs are not fads or quick fixes to health issues. She loves teaching people about health and wellness and adds fun and compassionate elements to her teachings. Dr. Lisa Metzgar, PhD has spent the last 20 years studying nutrition at UCSD and received her PhD in Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. She has helped people to not only lose weight but to improve their overall health. It is important to Lisa to be a positive example of what she teaches.
